These aspects are distinct in Christian teachings the love for Christ is a reflection of his love for all people. The theme of love is the key element of John writings. This is evidenced in one of the most widely quoted scriptures in the Bible: (John 3:16) ”For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.” As a christain we should learn to love as Christ love the church. In the Gospel of John, the periscope of the Good Shepherd (John 10:1-21) symbolizes the sacrifice of Jesus based on his love for people. In that gospel, love for Christ results in the following of his commandments, the Farewell Discourse (14:23) stating: "If a man loves me, he will keep my word&qu

HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR IN GOSPEL

Image
R emember you a follower of Jesus, You have received the great commission. Jesus’s instructions to go into all the earth and create disciple is not meant for the disciple or professional ministers; it applies to all of us. But that doesn’t mean that sharing your faith is easy.  Everyone experience fear from time to time. You might be afraid to confront someone, borrow money to grow your business, or introduce yourself to someone you admire. We all have moments of fear, but very few of us see those moments as opportunities. Fear gives you the unique opportunity to develop a priceless inner force that expands your life. That force is courage. There are 3 steps to help you to get rid of fear of preaching the gospel.     1. Remember that love is greater than fear       There is no fear in love. But perfect love derives out fear because fear is not of God. The one who fear is not made perfect in love (1John 4:18) As John point out, fear has to do with punishment. We should not allow the

REASONS WHY GOSPEL IS GOOD NEWS

Image
G od is simple in His on way. All that is in God is good. John says, “ God is light”. In the creation God looked from Heaven sees that darkness was so heaved and  He command light, and light separate from darkness  in  (1John 1:5).  No dark cave or shadow exist God exist.  Anything said about  God’s  nature is God,  God is loving. What God promised God created the world , He then created  humanity in His own image. And He aimed to unite humanity to his divinity through the incarnation of divinity (John 1:1, 14).  Through Abraham we learn that God will bless the nations offspring. While the signs and shadows of the blessing and offspring  made their  way Israel’s history, we learn of the reality to which these promises pointed through the incarnate word. The goal is to bring humanity into communion with God. (John17:11). The promise of God in not only telling us where we come from but also where we are going. In the Old Testament, God promised Abraham  the land so that he and  his fam

GOSPEL TO THE WORLD

T he Church has moved steadily across the world from nation to nation, culture to culture, people to people, on the Lord’s calendar and in His time. The Savior’s mortal ministry was complete. His suffering in Gethsemane and on the cross was over. We learn from Acts 1 that He had ministered for 40 days after His Resurrection, “being seen” of the Apostles and “speaking of … things pertaining to the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3). He told them that “ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Shortly thereafter, “he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. “And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same

BENEFITS OF THE GOSPEL

Image
T he Benefits of Preaching the Gospel The gospel, the message about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, is the central message of the Bible. It is the message that God is seeking to communicate in all of his word. And so we preach the Bible rightly as we seek to preach the gospel by prayerfully expounding God’s word. Beginning with the desire to preach the gospel reminds us to preach the Bible s the word of God-the word that calls on everyone who hears, every time they hear it, to respond with obedience and faith. We must not preach the Bible without calling on people to respond to it. Further, by aiming to preach the gospel we remind ourselves to preach the whole of the Scriptures with reference to Christ, the point and purpose of all of God’s work in the world. In short, by aiming to preach the gospel, we remind ourselves to preach the oracles of God as the oracles of God. 1. Glorifies God - I Cor 10:31 - Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. The gospel allows u

TRUTH ABOUT THE GOSPEL

“ H ow do we know that the New Testament is reliable? How do we know that we can trust the words that we have there? Well, there's a number of ways to answer that question, but one of the most helpful things we can do is look at it through the lens of textual criticism, and looking at the manuscripts that we have, and we can see how these foster a sense of the confidence that we can have in Scripture. Let me explain what I mean by that. In terms of the number of ancient witnesses we have to the New Testament, we have a remarkable number of copies of manuscripts of the Greek New Testament. In fact, we have over 5,500 Greek manuscripts alone that are a Greek manuscript that is part, or all, of the Greek New Testament. That's an amazing number, an astoundingly high number for a document of such antiquity as the New Testament. If we compare that for example, to the ancient historian, Tacitus, I think we only have about three manuscripts of his works. I don't think any of thos
